I am a union carpenter and have been going on 20 years. NOT ALL carpenters believe the leadership is right. Not all union carpenters are snakes. I've got union brothers that are iron workers, electricians, sheet metal workers and strong union members of other trades. The rank-and-file carpenters have had their rights stripped from them for years. I hope to see the day that solidarity is back in the labor movement. We are stronger standing together.

I need your help to unite my brothers to fight this anti-labor movement of local 57.

That is easy to say to organize and attend a meeting with Nelson, but most of the carpenters seem to fear speaking up. I, Andrew Kevin Price, have even lost "so called" friends over standing up for all the carpenters and our rights. Many agree but wont speak up.

In our Local alone there is nearly 500 members and not even 20 show up to our monthly meetings. How do we rally the brothers to stand together and take our union back??

If you believe in the union and the labor trade brotherhood contact me and lets unite to make the trades stronger. Would love to chat with other carpenters or members of other trades.

The key is how do we get our Union Brothers to show up to a union meeting and stand up. Many believe Nelson and his crew are WRONG, but fear repercussions so they say and do - nothing. All us that want to take our union back need to band together and figure out how to get more members to attend meetings and stand up for their rights......

Newsflash

"Because they told me I could give them my money, I could pay my per capita tax and I could come to their meetings, but I couldn't vote. I said,-...'Scuse me?"

Nelson responds to the Post Dispatch journalist Repps Hudson's question as to why the St Louis Carpenters District Council are not in the AFL-CIO. Hey Nelson, now you know how your rank-and-file carpenters feel!
